CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR PAN AM GAMES 2011

 

The capability period shall begin July 1, 2010 and end July 5, 2011.

 

1) - DRESSAGE

 

a) Three Prix St Georges scores and one Intermediaire I score

 

Each submitted score must be 65%, or better. The sum of the four scores when

averaged together must equal 66% or higher (e.g. 65% + 66.75 + 66.50 + 66.00 = 264.25 / 4 = 66.06%) (Capability Average). Each submitted score must be obtained from four different competitions within the capability period.

 

All scores must be achieved from a panel of three FEI judges (one must be an “O” rated judge). Each panel must be non-identical (at least one judge must be different on each panel). The full panel’s final percentage score is to be submitted. Test Sheets showing complete scores must be submitted to the BEF, copy to the International Committee. Scores submitted from individual FEI judges or panels of less than three FEI judges will not be accepted.

 

b) Intermediaire I Freestyle

 

In addition to the requirements of subsection a) above, each declared rider must

obtain one score in the Intermediaire I Freestyle test from a CDI*, or higher

competition within the capability period, from a panel of three FEI judges. The

panel’s final percentage score is to be submitted. This score will not be use for

selection.

 

2) - JUMPING

 

A rider and horse combination must have completed the first round in at least:-

a) Two outdoor competitions at M1.45 or higher with zero penalties, and

b) One outdoor competition at M1.50 CSI 3* or higher with zero penalties.

 

3) - EVENTING

 

One qualifying result in a CCI 3* AND one qualifying result in a CIC 3*. A qualifying result is achieved by completing the above competitions within the minimum parameters of an all round performance, viz:-

 

a) Not less than 50% Dressage good marks (not more than 75 penalty points).

b) Not more than 20 jumping penalties on Cross Country obstacles.

c) Not more than 90 seconds over the optimum Cross Country phase time.

d) Not more than 16 jumping penalties on Show Jumping.
