MESSAGE FROM BDG REGARDING THE  SEPTEMBER SHOWS

The Bermuda Dressage Group will kick off the show season 2007/2008 with our postponed Fun Show to be held at NEC on Saturday, 15th September, 2007.   This show promises to be a lot of fun with musical rides, fancy dress, a visit by the Ice Cream Wagon and surprise participant draws throughout the day, etc.

In addition, a Bermuda Dressage Group show, offering 18 classes will be held on Sunday, l6th September, 2007 at the NEC.    (Please refer to the BEF website for the show schedules and entry forms).  The BDG is also pleased to offer the following incentive to its members wishing to enter the FEI this year:

Throughout the current show season (2007/2008) any rider/horse combination having entered 5 dressage shows AND which have attained the following minimum scores in any of the classes listed below in at least one dressage show will have their entry fee for the FEI subsidized by the Bermuda Dressage Group.  Children’s Preliminary 60%, FEI A & B Tests 60%,  FEI PSG 60%.

We have reopened the entries to the Fun Show.  Competitors already entered in the Fun Show, will be re-entered in the same classes unless advised otherwise, in writing,  by the close of entries on 23rd August, 2007.  Also, those competitors who braved the rain and rode their dressage tests will be re-entered to ride it again –hopefully in sunshine!

Please take note that the following classes originally scheduled to be held at the Fun Show will now be held at the Sunday show.

Training Level Test 2

Training Level Test 3

Training Level Test 4

First Level Test 1

First Level Test 3.

Our international Judge, Cindy Canace, will judge both Shows.   In addition, Ms. Canace will give an informal presentation entitled  “A Judge’s Perspective on Riding a Dressage Test.”  This presentation will be given on Sunday afternoon at the completion of the classes.   The complimentary seminar is opened to everyone (competitors and non-competitors) . Please make a notation on your entry form or inform your barn representative whether you plan to attend so that we have an idea of  how many will be in attendance.  It should be very informative and fun!

We hope you will be able to attend both shows for what promises to be a great start to the show season!
