01. CHAMPION
RIDING HORSE 15.2hh and UNDER.
Entries
to be shown under English saddle. Horses
to enter ring at walk. To
be shown at a flat-footed walk with reasonably loose rein, trot, strong
trot, easy canter and hand gallop.
Only eight (8) horses to gallop at one time.
To be judged on performance, conformation, substance and manners. |
| 02. CHAMPION RIDING HORSE OVER 15.2hh. Entries to be shown under English saddle. Horses to enter ring at walk. | HUNTER DIVISIONS - Note for Show Organizers. A Show Championship may not be offered in a section unless a minimum of two over fences classes and one under saddle class are held. If a Show offers more than one under saddle class in any one section, only one will count towards the championship in a show. |

03.
CHAMPION ADULT HUNTER.
In-Hand,
Under Saddle and Over Fences. Open
to horses ridden by adults 19 years and older. a) IN-HAND (Model): To be judged on conformation, way of moving and soundness. b) OVER FENCES: To be judged on performance and soundness and when indicated, conformation, suitability and manners. c) UNDER SADDLE: To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Light contact with the horse’s mouth is required. Horses should be obedient, alert, responsive and move freely. They should not be eliminated for slight errors. Judges may ask horses to hand gallop collectively, one way of the ring. No more than eight (8) will be asked to gallop at one time. To be judged on performance, soundness, conformation, suitability and manners. |

04.
CHAMPION JUNIOR HUNTER.
In-Hand,
Under Saddle and Over Fences.
Open to horses ridden by juniors 18 years and under. |

18. CHAMPION OPEN HUNTER.
Under Saddle and Over Fences.
Two (2) Over Fences classes will be required in order to hold this
division in a show. a) OVER FENCES: To be shown over a course of not less than eight (8) fences. To be judged on performance and soundness and when indicated, conformation, suitability and manners. Minimum height of fences 3’6”. b) UNDER SADDLE: To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Light contact with the horse’s mouth is required. Horses should be obedient, alert, responsive and move freely. They should not be eliminated for slight errors. Judges may ask horses to hand gallop collectively, one way of the ring. No more than eight (8) will be asked to gallop at one time. To be judged on performance, soundness, conformation, suitability and manners. |

05.
CHAMPION RIDING PONY.
Ponies
to be ridden by junior competitors 18 years and under.
To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring.
To be judged on performance, conformation, substance, manners and
suitability. |

06.
CHAMPION HUNTER PONY.
In-Hand,
Under Saddle and Over Fences. Ponies
to be shown by junior competitors 18 years and under in all phases. Stallions are prohibited. |

07.
CHAMPION JUNIOR EQUITATION UNDER 8 YEARS.
Only one rider per mount.
Lead Line. Open to
Junior competitors who will not have reached their eighth (8) birthday
by September 1st of the current B.E.F. Show Season.
To be judged at a walk and trot only.
The ability of the rider only to be judged.
Any horse, serviceably sound, that is suitable for riding, and is
capable of performing required class routine, is acceptable.
Stallions are prohibited. Will
not be asked to change mounts or do an individual show.
May be asked to perform Test 1 of the B.E.F. Equitation Rules

08.
CHAMPION JUNIOR EQUITATION 10 YEARS & UNDER.
Only
one rider per mount. Competitors
must not have reached their eleventh (11) birthday by September 1st of
the current B.E.F. Show Season. To
be judged at a walk and trot only.
The ability of the rider only to be judged.
Any horse, serviceably sound, that is suitable for riding, and is
capable of performing required class routine, is acceptable.
Stallions are prohibited. Will
not be asked to change mounts or do an individual show.
May be asked to perform Test 1 of the B.E.F. Equitation Rules

09.
CHAMPION JUNIOR
EQUITATION UNDER 12 YEARS.
One
rider per mount. OVER
OBSTACLES or NOT TO JUMP. Competitors
must not have reached their twelfth (12) birthday by September 1st of
the current B.E.F. Show Season. The
ability of the rider only to be judged.
Any horse, serviceably sound, that is suitable for riding, and is
capable of performing required class routine, is acceptable.
Stallions are prohibited.
a) OVER OBSTACLES: Jumps cannot exceed 2'3" and wings must be at least 30" wide. The performance beings when the horse enters the ring or is given the signal to proceed after entering the ring. Except for refusals, jumping faults of the horse are not to be considered unless it is the result of a rider's ability. b) NOT TO JUMP: To be judged at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. May be asked to perform B.E.F. Equitation Tests 1-3-4-5 & 6 of the B.E.F. Rules Part II. |

CHAMPION LOW HUNTER HORSE. To be judged on performance,
soundness, conformation, suitability and manners. May not enter
any other class of any other hunter division in a show where this class
is offered. a) UNDER SADDLE: To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Light contact with the horse's mouth is required. Horses should be obedient, alert, responsive and move freely. The should not be eliminated for slight errors. b) OVER FENCES: Height of fences not to exceed 2'9". Courses may be ridden back to back. |

16.
CHAMPION LIMIT ADULT EQUITATION: OVER OBSTACLES or NOT TO
JUMP. The ability of the rider only to be judged. Open to
adults 19 years and older. Only one rider per mount.
May not enter any other equitation class in a show where this class is
offered. a) OVER OBSTACLES: To be judged over a course of not less than eight obstacles. Jumps not to exceed 2'9". b) NOT TO JUMP: To be judged at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. May be asked to perform B.E.F. tests 1,3,8 &10. Refer to B.E.F. Rule Book part II. |

27.
CHAMPION SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION 12 YEARS & UNDER.
Only
one rider per mount. OVER
OBSTACLES or NOT TO JUMP. Open
to Junior competitors who will not have reached their thirteenth
birthday by September 1st of the current B.E.F. season.
The ability of the rider only to be judged.
Any horse, serviceably sound, that is suitable for riding, and is
capable of performing required class routine is acceptable.
Stallions are prohibited. Competitors
may not enter any other B.E.F. designated equitation class offered in
the same show. |
| SHOW JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS: All classes must show maximum height to be jumped and the correct F.E.I. Table and Article number for the class. |
