CRITERIA FOR OVERSEAS JUMPING COMPETITIONS

The BEF Board has decided that ‘Trials’ should be held for the CEA Junior Jumping Competition and the following criteria has been established.  This Criteria may be adopted for any overseas competition when possible.

CEA

1.                  All applicants must be fully paid up members of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation in good standing.

2.                  There will be ‘Trials’ for the two age groups in the competition.  Those 16 & Under and for those 14 & Under.  Age taken at 1st January of each year.

3.                  If a ‘Trial’ is held, only those taking part in that particular ‘Trial’ will be considered for the competition for which the ‘Trial’ is being held.

4.                  The results of each ‘Trial’ will be taken into consideration to decide the competitor(s) who will take part in the applicable CEA Junior Jumping Competition and the results will be used as a guide.

5.                  If due to UNFORSEEN circumstances a ‘Trial’ cannot be held there will be a selection of applicants applying based on previous ‘trial’ results and the results of the current BEF Show Jumping points.

6.                  In addition to all of the above competitors must have a good attitude, show sportsmanship and commitment to the sport, and to show a willingness to assist.

NB: The BEF Board wish to make it clear that the selection of the CEA riders after the trials are held is subject to the approval of the BEF Board and is not just based upon the results of the trials.
