One rider per mount.  To be judged over a course of no more than eight fences.  Fences not to exceed 2’6” in height.  May not enter any other class of any other equitation division.
 
Class 12b - Junior Equitation 12-14 Years Over Fences (BEF #10)
One rider per mount.  To be judged over a course of no more than eight fences.  Fences not to exceed 2’9” in height.  May not enter any other class of any other equitation division.
 
Class 13b – Junior Equitation  15-18 Years, Over Fences (BEF#11)
One rider per mount.  To be judged over a course of not less than eight fences not to exceed 3’0” in height. May not enter any other class of any other equitation division.

 

Class 14b – Equitation over Cross Rails 10 years and Under

Open to Junior riders 10 years and under riding horses or ponies. Horses and ponies may be entered with more than one rider.  The rider entering the Show Division must ride first over fences.  This must be clearly indicated on the Entry Form.    May not enter any other class of any other equitation division. 

 

Class 15 – Lead Line Equitation Under 8 Years (BEF #07)

To be judged at a walk and trot only both ways of the ring.  The ability of the rider only to be judged.  May be asked to perform Test 1 of the B.E.F. Equitation Rules.   May not enter any other class of any other BEF equitation division.

 

Class 16 – Lead Line Equitation, OPEN

Open to Adults riding Horses and Juniors riding horses or ponies. To be judged at a walk and trot only.  The ability of the rider only to be judged.  Will not be asked to change mounts or do an individual show. 

 

Class 14a – Walk and Trot Equitation 10 Years & Under (BEF #08)

To be judged at a walk and trot only both way of the ring.  The ability of the rider only to be judged.  May be asked to perform Test 1 of the B.E.F. Equitation Rules.  May not enter any other class of any other BEF equitation Division.  May not enter Class 16.

 

Class 17 – Walk and Trot Equitation, OPEN

Open to Adults riding Horses and Juniors riding horses or ponies. To be judged at a walk and trot only.  The ability of the rider only to be judged.  Will not be asked to change mounts or do an individual show. 

 

Class 10a – Junior Equitation Under 12 Years (BEF #9)

May be asked to perform BEF Test 1,3,4, 5, & 6.  May not enter any other class of any other equitation division.

 

Class 11a – Short Stirrup Equitation 12 Years and Under (BEF #27)

To be judged at the walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring.  May be asked to perform tests 1,3,4,6,8,10 & 11 of the BEF Rules.  May not enter any other class of any other equitation division.

 

Class 12a – Junior Equitation 12 – 14 Years (BEF #10)

To be judged at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring.  Entries may be asked to do an individual show.  May be asked to perform BEF Tests 1-8. 

 

Class 13a – Junior Equitation 15 – 18 Years (BEF #11)

To be judged at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring.  Entries may be asked to change mounts and/or to do an individual show.  May be asked to perform Tests 1-18 of the BEF Rules.

 

Entries Close:  Thursday April 29th, 2010 at 5:00pm.  Entries may be delivered to Hinson Hall Stables, Inwood Stables or Spiceland’s Riding Centre.  All cheques to be made out to the BEF.

Entry fees:  $20.00; A 50% refund will only be given upon a receipt of a doctor’s or veterinarian certificate.

Clean Up Fee: $10.00 per horse/pony.

Rosettes to 6th place for classes 10a; 10b; 11a; 11b; 12a; 12b; 13a; 13b; 14a; 14b; 15; 16

Rosettes to 4th place for 14& Under and 16 & Under CEA Competitors and Overall Team placings.

 

Champion and Reserve rosettes will be awarded for the following divisions:

To be eligible for the division championship all classes of the division must be entered at the time of close of entries, which in turn must be indicated on the entry form.  

Any post entry will not be considered eligible for division championship. 

 

Rules

Age of Competitors:

For non CEA classes the age will be taken as at September 1st 2009.

 

All Bermuda competitors must be members of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation and all horses must be registered with the Bermuda Equestrian Federation.

 

Loaned Horses and Ponies:

Horses and Ponies loaned for CEA may not compete in any other class until the completion of class 8 & 9, the last 2 rounds of the CEA.

 

The CEA Competition:

Each country will host three other countries for the competition which will consist of one 16 & Under rider and one 14 & Under rider.  The scores of both riders will count towards the country points.  The competition will be held over two successive days with two rounds each day.  Each round will have a different course, but with minimum changes.  To be held under FEI Table A at a speed of 325mpm. The courses will be at the discretion of the host country and all competitors may walk the courses.

 

Age: Age of competitors will be taken as that on 1st January of the year of the competition.  If a 14 & Under competitor competes as a 16 & Under competitor at the height of 0.95m this rider cannot go back to 0.80m in future CEA Junior Jumping Competitions.
