2012 FEI WORLD JUMPING CHALLENGE

Categories A and B

Saturday March 24th and Sunday March 25th 2012

at the National Equestrian Centre

Foreign Judge – Peter Hugo, USA

Categories A and B consist of 2 competitions of 2 rounds over courses designed by an FEI designated Course designer; this year’s course designer is Mr. Hossein Shafiele (IRI)

The size of the arena for both Categories is 65 x 45 meters.

As both Categories are being organized simultaneously horses may only compete in one category by no more than one rider however a rider may ride in both Categories but not with the same horse.  Bermuda will compete in FEI Group X in both Categories

Categories A and B:

Each of the 2 competitions consists of 2 rounds under Table A. The final score for each competitor is the total penalties of the four rounds and the total time in the two second rounds.  If the totals of times are equal, the fastest time in the second round of the last competition will decide.

Competitors eliminated in any round may start in the other rounds of the same Category however the score will not count towards the final competition.

A draw for each of the two competitions will take place to decide the starting order. The order of starting for all horses and riders in the second round of each competition will follow the reverse order of the number of penalties in the first round, except in the case of a rider riding more than one horse, the declared horse must be ridden first in all rounds.  Ribbons will be given to the first four places.

Competitors may ride more than one horse in the competition but may only qualify one of them for the final standings. They must declare the name of the horse they wish to qualify before the start of the first competition and ride that horse first in each first round.

The competition is open to anyone reaching the age of 15 during 2012 and older.  All competitors must be current members of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, and Bermudian or normally resident in Bermuda and all horses must be registered with the BEF.

1)       A rider may ride in both Categories but not with the same horse

2)       Team classification: the scores and times of the 3 best placed riders in each of Category A and B will count for the Team classification in each Category.
