Following is a list of some of the very positive observations and benefits from this Course, based on feedback
1. The need and benefits for Regional Integration were well appreciated by all participants and how this may affect the long term.
2. The Course material was considered very informative and educational.
3. The use of “lesson planning” in particular was very useful
4. Based on feedback received from participants, the NF’s organizational standards were beyond reproach.
5. Course Director, Susanne Macken, was very flexible to accommodate the requirements of the host NF, which enable the practical and smooth running of this course.
6. The participants and Mrs. Macken enjoyed the opportunity to use a variety of centers, meeting different horses and riders this also provided the opportunity of seeing other sights of the Island during transfers!
7. Southern Palms Beach Club’s support extended extremely discounted rates for room, food and drinks, which made a significant contribution toward off setting expenses for the participants as well as the organizing NF.
8. The course received tremendous participation and support from the NOC, their administration staff, who also provided much assistance in advising of the successful organizing of the course. Again the NOC supplied the use of course equipment for theory and the National Sport Council provided express photocopying, this was invaluable.
9. Acting Director National Sport Council, Neil Murrell, attended a portion of the training, which afforded the sport and Olympism more visibility on a National Level.
10. Mrs. Macken opened up part of the course (mental and physical fitness) to other sporting federations if they wished to attend. This was seen as a good initiative which may be repeated during other courses held by other NF’s in Barbados in the future.
11. The Barbados Equestrian Association and the Olympic Solidarity Coaches Course received excellent support from the media – the opening was featured on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation evening news and a feature in The Nation News paper with quotes form the NOC, BEA and Mrs. Macken.
12. Served to highlight the benefits of Team Work and the value of Olympism.
.
The course was concluded with the issuing of participation certificates; there was no examination at this level.
