CORI WILLIAMS

SHOW JUMPING

Cori is the daughter of Chris and Starla Williams. Cori rode and competed in Bermuda on her pony Chocolate Ripple up until 2005, when she moved to the states to further pursue both her riding and education.

Cori began riding at Leebow Stables, at the age of 5 under the instruction of Kate Terceira. After two years she moved to Inwood Stables where she was instructed by Nick Decosta up until her move to Virginia.

Cori moved to Virginia, U.S.A in 2005 to attend a girl’s boarding school, Chatham Hall. The school has an extensive riding program, and since moving to the school Cori has been able to gain experience riding on the east coast circuit in both the hunters and the jumpers, although show jumping is her main focus point.

Cori trains with Cricket Stone, who is Chatham Halls director of riding as well as an experienced “A” circuit trainer.

During the 3 years that Cori has attended Chatham Hall she has been able to compete in shows such as Raleigh indoors, the Duke Children’s Benefit, various RMI shows, and numerous others located on the east coast. She has competed on a variety of different horses through out her time there, but is currently riding a Hanoverian/Thoroughbred named Falconer Forty.

Cori plans to continue her riding in the United States working toward her goal of representing Bermuda in the Young Riders competition sometime in the near future.
